Profile

Professor Antonio B. Ramos practices in Metro Manila, Philippines. He obtained his medical degree and did his General Surgery training at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center. He trained in Thoracic and Vascular Surgery at the Lung Center of the Philippines. He underwent training in cardiothoracic transplantation at the Stanford University Medical Center. 

He is board-certified in both General Surgery and Thoracic and Vascular Surgery. He has served as President of the Philippine Association of Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgeons and Chairman of the Philippine Board of Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery. He did his Masters in Business Administration at the Virata School of Business at the University of the Philippines. 

Presently, Prof. Ramos is President of the Philippine Association of Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgeons. He is a Council Member of the Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons of Asia and a Board Member of the Asian Thoracoscopic Education Platform. His most recent appointment is President of the De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute.  He also serves as an assistant professor at its College of Medicine.
