Transforming Thoracic Education

The Asian Thoracic Academy (ATA) founding leaders, who were instrumental in the formation of the Asia Thoracoscopic Surgery Education Program (ATEP), recognized the need to evolve their educational mission to achieve their vision of nurturing thoracic surgeons with a commitment to excellence and innovation in practice, education, and research.

The Asian Thoracic Education Programs offer continuing educational opportunities in the form of certificate courses and events organized jointly with industry partners, hosting a congregation of inter-professional and specialty experts and medical professionals via symposiums, conferences, workshops, village training and webinars to promote collaborative exchange of knowledge and experiences.

ATA education programs also include a series of tumor boards designed to meet the educational needs of medical professionals via its digital forum for participation in case sharing to review clinical considerations and discussions with a multidisciplinary team of experts, with access to educational resources for the attainment of the appropriate standard of care and optimization in patient management.
